Corolla, North Carolina is not for everyone. Here, you won’t find fried Oreos, loud neon lights, or henna tattoo shops. There won’t be a crowded boardwalk, overpriced carnival games, or pizza slices the size of your head. And honestly, that's pretty darn amazing. In 2019, my agency was tagged with creating a digital campaign that tapped into the uniqueness of this destination.

Corolla delivers a genuinely unique experience from typical beachfront destinations. It’s not about endless activities or nights spent partying. It's about relaxing, unwinding, and escaping. It’s about spending days on the beach, going off the grid, unplugging and exploring your surroundings.
“Simply Corolla” is a story of simplicity designed to capture the unrivaled experience that sets this destination apart. Here, we dared visitors to disconnect, to trade smart devices for compasses and connect with nature - a rallying cry to vacation a little differently.

Serving as the campaign's story director, we launched a dedicated microsite to serve as the center of this campaign. Instead of focusing on reservations and conversions - we really wanted visitors to fall in love with this destination.


As visitors interacted with each section, they experienced expanded content that continued to speak of the features and benefits of Corolla.

Next, we launched dedicated social media channels which invited visitors to share their adventures using #SimplyCorolla.
