Despite being a community staple since 1955, Virginia Beach Friends School had seen enrollment numbers decrease in recent years. But in 2018, the school appointed a new Head of School, built up their faculty, and renovated a dated campus. All that was needed was a brand to match the vision...

Brought on board as a creative director, I worked closely with a senior designer to modernize their existing logo. Using the peace tree as a symbol of serenity and community, their updated logo exists to embrace the tenets of Quaker education.

With logo and visual elements approved, we began redesigning and developing content for the school's online presence. Working closely with school officials, we created a site that was clean, easy to navigate and compelling to read.

"Make New Friends" is a story of reflection and honesty. Working with the new Head of School - we created a series of vignettes that admitted past shortcomings, presented our vision for the future and reintroduced this school to the public.

Next, we designed a landing page to serve as the hub for this campaign. Here, we dived deeper into this mission, chat about future plans, and talk about past accomplishments.
